Our second outing for the year saw 12 members and family attend the Melbourne Zoo.
The photo reviews are back for 2024
Something we started during COVID times when the judge had left us after a judging, photo reviews are us jumping through the competition entries as a club and discussing the images and the judges comments about them.
Competition results for our first round of competition for 2024 - Monochrome and Open. Our judge for this round was Ian Bock.
We welcome the return of prints in this competition and throughout this year. Thank you to all members entering in both formats.
Continuing our journey around the page we started last year, 18 members head out to venture from Seaholme to Altona to capture our backyard.
Competition results for our sixth and final round of competition for 2023 - Portrait and Open. Our judge was our very own Brett Ferguson. As we no longer advise scores we will only be presenting the award winners. Our second planned weekend away for 2023 was to Wilson's Promontory, where 18 Members and families endured unfavourable weather conditions. Our vice-president Karen Malbon had scheduled some great events for the weekend but unfortunately some of them either failed or had to be abandoned. This event was planned prior to The Covid-19 Pandemic and the numerous lockdowns but we finally got it on the calendar.
On Tuesday October 10th we left the club rooms behind and ventured into the city.
Competition results for our fifth competition of 2023 - Sport and Open. Our judge was Brian Basham. As we no longer advise scores we will only be presenting the award winners. On Sunday 27th August 15 Club members met at the Newport Substation to commence our Exploring Hobsons Bay photo shoot.
Join us for a night of fun as we award our winners from the year. Awards are given for aggregate point winners and for the images of the year.
For the new members, we have spit roasted meats and salads brought into the Clubrooms. We have found that this works really well as it gives members a chance to chat prior to the EOY Awards presentations. You can bring along some wine/beer and some of the members bring a dessert to share.

In our meeting part we'll discuss what have you done in the break. We will look at what it takes to make a Triptych. And our competitions will be explained.
